Under the National Vetting Bureau (Children and Vulnerable Persons) Acts 2012–2016, it is a legal requirement that anyone carrying out relevant work or activities with children must be Garda Vetted. This includes parents and guardians volunteering for school events, trips, or supporting activities in Scoil Mhuire Brierhill.
The vetting process is completed online through the National Vetting Bureau eVetting system. Volunteers will be asked to provide identification documents to meet the 100-point ID check, and the school will help process applications.
More information is available directly from Tusla here: Tusla – Garda Vetting Information.
We encourage parents interested in volunteering to begin the process early, as vetting can take several weeks to complete.
