Scoil Mhuire Brierhill is proud to have two dedicated Autism Classes, a Junior Class and a Senior Class, providing a supportive, structured, and nurturing learning environment for pupils with autism. Each class offers a smaller setting with a low pupil–teacher ratio, ensuring that every child receives individual attention and tailored support to meet their needs.
Our dedicated team of teachers and SNAs work closely with parents and, where appropriate, external professionals to support the social, emotional, communication, and academic development of each pupil. We place a strong emphasis on inclusion, with pupils in our Autism Classes regularly engaging in mainstream lessons, activities, and whole-school events, in ways that are meaningful and appropriate to them.
Our aim is to ensure that every child in our Junior and Senior Autism Classes feels safe, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential, while being an active and proud member of the Scoil Mhuire Brierhill community.
